Kalyn Burke, CEO
From training horses to creating festivals
Kalyn Burke got started in events in a unique way. While in high school, she decided to pursue music business and ultimately wanted to become an artist manager. In her freshman year of college, she had a serendipitous flight where she met a music industry leader, the general manager of a music festival hosted in New Hampshire. He invited her to interview for an opening at the company, and ultimately, she was hired.
Throughout her time as the assistant producer for the Music Festival, she found her passion in the events industry, and a discovered a knack for logistics, contract reviews and negotiation.
Following her return to Belmont University after the successful festival, she began shifting her educational focus to be on entertainment events. This included studying contract negotiation, getting discretion training, and much more.
After college, she began working in various aspects of events and she took on all the projects she could. These avenues included: working for a Boston film festival, a legendary New York film festival, cultural festivals, trade shows, board meetings, major product launches, medical conferences, competitions, niche market events (like arboriculture expos), and so much more.
Throughout her wide ranging and still growing career, Kalyn has always focused on learning more at each event and finding new and unique ways to run keep her projects interesting, while keeping all attendees, staff, and VIPs as safe and happy as possible. This has lead to a new perspective and focus in event safety.
Kalyn is always excited to take on new projects, and welcomes all event challenges. After all, the best way to learn and grow is to challenge yourself.
